Minority Be The Prime Minister of Malaysia?

It's official! the President for the United States of America is Mr.Obama. I guess the american democracy has gone beyond the racist line and now they are truly together as one nation. Unlike countries like my own Malaysia, we are still on the racist line and I wonder if we need to wait like America waited, 200 over years to achieve a complete disregards to race but to be as one people for one country.

Imagine if Malaysians have become more mature and really headed for a change. The day when we don't say Chinese, Malays or Indians but we called ourselves Malaysian. The latest tsunami in March election wasn't a real tsunami but only a small hurricane for change. The real tsunami will be when we go beyond the colors in the skin and become as one true nation when the Prime Minister of Malaysia can be a chinese, malay, indian or even kadazan and iban! Now that is what I call a history have been made.

There is always talk amongst my friends who are more on the liberal politics type just like me. We believe in changes but for the better. Why appointing a Prime Minister that couldn't be the minister for all people and who couldn't control fully the nation developments? or rather, why must only UMMO be the Prime Minister not MCA or MIC or SSP or any other component parties for that matter? My friends are all pure Malaysians and we are proud to be one except when our government made blunders after blunders. We do not make friends with each other based on colors but based on knowledge and views that is not racist in nature.

BN (Barisan Nasional) must wake up and the government must stop being a hypocrite! Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi must have now feeling very lousy when he shot himself literally in the foot by saying "Anyone can be PM" in the Star a few days ago. I quote from the STAR Online - "It is possible for anyone from a minority group to be a nation’s leader, even in Malaysia". You gotta be kidding me DSAB !!! a minority group to be a nation's leader? Umno would rather burn than let minority run the country.

WOULD UMNO REALLY GIVE UP THEIR POWER TO RUN THE COUNTRY?

I guess that a minority running Malaysia is only a dream and perhaps this dream one day will come.. who knows, maybe we need another 200 years of history to be where Americans are today.
